| Title | “From high-energy astrophysics to medical physics” |
| Abstract | amma-ray observations during the past 20 years have revealed an astonishingly rich picture of the high-energy Universe. The combination of ground-based and space-based instruments have advanced our understanding of the physics of the accelerators and the methodology with which we extract information. In this talk, I will present my personal path through within this international efforts and will summarise my current view on the status of high-energy astrophysics. At the same time, I will describe projects that transfer some of the technology we are developing into other areas such as medical physics. |
