  • Speaker
    Masato Shiozawa (ICRR)
  • Title
“The latest results from the T2K long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment”
  • Place
    Room 601 (Kashiwa Campus)
  • Abstract
“The T2K is the neutrino oscillation experiment by using muon neutrino
beam produced by the accelerator complex JPARC and the water Cherenkov detector Super-Kamiokande located at 295 km distance. We searched for νμ→νe appearance signal in the data taken from January 2010 until March 2011, corresponding to an exposure of 1.43 x 1020 proton on target. The exposure is about five times larger than that of the previous report. In the seminar, the results of the search for νe appearance in the T2K experiment will be reported.
The T2K is organizing two simultaneous seminars in KEK and ICRR , to report the new results.”
