【Topics】Takaaki Kajita receive Chunichi Cultural Award

The Laureate of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics Takaaki Kajita, a director of ICRR, has been selected as a recipient of 69th Chunichi Cultural Award, for “the discovery of neutrino oscillation, which shows that neutrinos have mass.” The award ceremony is scheduled on 3rd of June in Nagoya.

The Chunichi Cultural Award was founded in 1947, in commemoration of the enforcement of the Constitution of Japan, has been presented to individuals and groups, who made the outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of science, culture, technology and art.
