[1] 129.1億光年の彼方、宇宙の「夜明け」にきらめく銀河を発見(2011年12月)

 私たちから129.1億光年先、ビッグバン後わずか7.5億年の生まれて間もない宇宙に、きわめて活発に星を生み出している銀河GN-108036を発見しました。この銀河では毎年太陽100個分のガスから星が生まれており、宇宙の同時代にこれまで見つかっている他の銀河とは比べものにならないほどです。

 この研究成果は次の文献で報告しました:Ono et al., 2012, ApJ, 744, 83 (ADS).また,すばる望遠鏡の「観測成果」ページなどに取り上げられました: すばる望遠鏡, NASA, JPL, Keck, STScI, etc.
