Prof. Masahiro Kawasaki of ICRR receives the 7th Yukawa-Kimura Prize

On January 22, 2014, Prof. Masahiro Kawasaki of ICRR received the 7th Yukawa-Kimura Prize at the ceremony held in Yukawa Hall at Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, together with Dr. Kazunori Kohri of KEK and Prof. Takeo Moroi of the University of Tokyo, for the joint research on supergravity and nucleosynthesis.

Yukawa-Kimura Prize was established in 2007 based on part of the heritage of the late Prof. Toshiei Kimura donated to the Yukawa Memorial Foundation.

Prof. Kawasaki received his PhD from the University of Tokyo in 1988, and became a Research Assistant at Tohoku University in the same year. He started his career at ICRR as an Assistant Professor in 1992, and then assumed a position as a Professor at Research Center for Early Universe, the University of Tokyo in 1999. Since 2004, Prof. Kawasaki leads the field of Cosmology of Early Universe at ICRR.
