The Institute for Cosmic Ray Research (ICRR), The University of Tokyo, Japan, is a research center in the fields of Cosmic Ray and Astro-Particle Physics and has a long-standing history in these fields. We are looking for a Research Assistant Professor who can work for the CTA Large Size Telescope (LST) Project in our institute.

The cosmic gamma-ray group at ICRR is deeply involved in the CTA project, especially in the development and construction of the CTA LSTs, and acts as a major institute in the CTA LST collaboration. The successful applicant shall work on the construction and operation of the CTA Large Size Telescopes, especially on the online / onsite computing and network system in the CTA North Site.

After the construction, she / he shall lead the scientific activities in cosmic ray physics, HE gamma-ray Astrophysics and Astro-Particle Physics, using the data from CTA. Since CTA is a large international project, scientists with international experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
