Assistant professor Roger Wendell has been awarded the Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan for contributions to “The first observation of evidence for the appearance of oscillation-induced atmospheric tau neutrinos.” The result of this research have been published in ‘Physical Review Letter 110, 181802 (2013)’ under the title “Evidence for the appearance of atmospheric tau neutrinos in Super-Kamiokande.”<\/p>\n
