And Prof. Takaaki Kajita was elected as one of the international members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3000The National Academy of Science (NAS) established by an Act of Congress, signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, is charged with providing independent, objective\u00a0advice to the USA on matters related to science and technology.\u00a0According to NAS, those elected brought the total number of active members to 2,512 and the total number of international members to 517, including approximately\u00a0190 Novel laureates as Prof. Kajita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  <a
