The scientific objectives are the search for strange quark matter, interstellar meteors, Ultra-High Energy cosmic rays (E&gt;10<sup>21<\/sup>eV), mapping of night-time Earth in the UV range, observations of meteors, Transient Luminous Events (in particular Elves) and the observation of meteors. We will report on the first results and perspectives of the mission, as well as the ongoing preparations for EUSO-SPB2 a NASA super-pressure balloon flight scheduled to launch from Wanaka (NZ) in
