The primary goal of T2K is to complete the leptonic flavor mixing picture by discovering the last unknown angle theta_13 and by precisely measuring the atmospheric neutrino parameters. T2K started physics data taking in January 2010. In this talk, the first results based on the data taken in the first half of 2010, demonstrating the performance of the experiment, will be presented.
