At the same time, the lattice QCD calculation of the \u201chadronic vacuum polarization\u201d \u2014 essentially, a weighted integral of the cross section&nbsp;for e+e- -&gt; hadrons \u2014 disagrees with the direct experimental measurement at a similar level. &nbsp;I will propose that both discrepancies can be explained, quite naturally, by production of unseen final states in e+e- -&gt; hadrons. &nbsp;Such so-far-undiscovered hadrons have to be&nbsp;neutral and long-lived to have escaped detection, and in fact could be the Dark Matter particle. &nbsp;I will discuss tests of this proposal.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","tag_year":[],"class_list":["post-12819","event_researcher","type-event_researcher","status-publish","hentry","en-US"],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event_researcher\/12819","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event_researcher"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/event_researcher"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=12819"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"tag_year","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tag_year?post=12819"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
