Neutrino And Astroparticle Research

Super-Kamiokande

Super-Kamiokande aims to reveal the Universe’s history and to explore the nature of elementary particles through the observation of neutrinos and a discovery of proton decay.

Neutrino And Astroparticle Research

Hyper-Kamiokande (Under Construction)

The Hyper-Kamiokande detector which will start its operation in the late 2020's, is planned to consist of an order of magnitude larger tank than predecessor experiment Super-Kamiokande's and ultra high sensitivity photosensors. It is the aim of Hyper-Kamiokande to elucidate the Grand Unified Theory and the history of the evolution of the Universe through an investigation of proton decay and CP violation, together with the observation of neutrinos from supernova explosions.

Neutrino And Astroparticle Research

T2K

A neutrino experiment designed to investigate how neutrinos change from one flavour to another as they travel (neutrino oscillations) with an intense beam of muon neutrinos generated at the J-PARC and the Super-Kamiokande neutrino detector.
