      XVI Particles and Nuclei International Conference (PANIC02) 

                      FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

This is the first announcement of the XVI International Conference on 
Particles and Nuclei (PANIC02) which will be held in September 30 
- October 4, 2002, Osaka, Japan.  The conference has been held every 
three years, last one at Uppsala in June 1999. This announcement is 
meant to confirm broad recognition of date and place of the conference 
and broad circulation of future announcements.  Relevant information 
will be provided on the WEB.  Please bookmark the following URL.
