We seek candidates interested in cosmic microwave background experiments, with extensive experience in instrumentation and data analysis. The successful candidate will work with QUP PI Masaya Hasegawa, whose research focuses on mitigating low-frequency noise of large-format superconducting detector arrays and developing CMB instrumentation for primordial gravitational-wave search. The primary research topic of the new position is the accurate characterization and calibration of the LiteBIRD focal plane TES bolometer array. We expect to test the focal plane prototype and publish the result during the initial 3-year period. A sub-research-topic of the position is the application of new quantum sensors for CMB instrumentation. To this end, the fellow will also benefit from close interaction with QUP PI Hideo Iizuka on quantum sensor R&D for current and next-generation CMB missions.
