NNN2022 Organizing Committee (nnn2022 [at] km.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp)

--- from here ---
Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to announce
that the 21st international workshop on Next Generation Nucleon Decay
and Neutrino Detectors (NNN2022) will take place in person in Hida-
Furukawa, a neighboring town of Kamioka, from Wednesday 28 to Friday
30 September 2022.

The workshop aims to discuss future detectors for research on neutrino
physics and nucleon decays. It will consist of invited and contributed
talks and poster presentations addressing the topics below.
- Proton decay
- High-intensity neutrino beams
- Supernova neutrinos
- Solar neutrinos
- Atmospheric neutrinos
- Reactor neutrinos
- Large Detectors R&D

We will have a tour to visit Super-Kamiokande, KamLAND, and Hyper-
Kamiokande sites. You can apply for the tour from the registration page.
The number of people who can visit the sites is limited; thus, it will
be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The registration and abstract submission for the poster session are now
open.
https://www-kam2.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/event/13/

The abstract submission is closed on August 15th.
The registration will be closed on August 20th.

For the participants from the foreign country:

VISA
Under the current measures, everyone, including those from visa-
exemption countries, has to apply for a visa, but the procedure is quite
simple. The only document you need (in addition to the usual application
materials if you are from a non-visa-exemption country) is the
certificate issued by the system called ERFS, which will be applied
through the ICRR. So when you plan your visit, please send an e-mail to
nnn2022-visa [at] km.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp to start visa procedures. The whole
process of obtaining a visa usually takes only a week or two, but please
start the preparation as early as possible.

Border measures
As you see in the link below, no on-arrival test/quarantine will be
required for visitors from many (practically almost all)
countries/regions:
https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/covid-19/bordercontrol.html

Please note that everyone must present a certificate of the negative
result of the COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before leaving the
country.
https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/covid-19/border_test.html

You also need to install the MySOS app on your smartphone.

We thank you in advance for your attention and look forward to welcoming
you to Hida in September 2022.

With best regards,
NNN2022 Organizing Committee (nnn2022 [at] km.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp)
