<<<<<<<<<<<<<< CRC News 2022年 5月 30日 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> CRC会員 各位 CRC事務局 ***********【宇宙科学談話会スケジュール（2022年6月）】*********** 宇宙科学研究所で開催しております「宇宙科学セミナー・談話会」の6月の予定をお送りいたします。 Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) プロジェクトの開発の現状と期待される科学成果について、 国立天文台でTMTプロジェクトの副プロジェクト長を務める青木和光氏に講演していただきます。 TMTは、口径30メートルの巨大な次世代の光学赤外線天体望遠鏡の国際計画で、 すばる望遠鏡などの従来の望遠鏡とくらべて一桁以上も高い集光能力を持つのが特徴です。 日本は、その心臓部とも言える望遠鏡本体の構造と主鏡分割鏡の製作を担当します。 TMTが目指す科学成果は、宇宙初期の銀河や初代星、多数の銀河や恒星の効率的な分光観測、太陽系外惑星の直接撮像や分光など多岐にわたっており、 宇宙研が開発を進める次世代のミッションとも幅広いシナジーが期待されます。 なお、前回に引き続き、研究・管理棟(A棟)2階 会議場及びzoomでの開催を予定します。 この機会を利用して広い分野の研究者に来場いただき、 直接の議論によって、TMTに関する理解を深めて頂きたく存じます。 なお、感染症対策については、十分な配慮いたします。 --------------------------------------------------------------- ○宇宙科学談話会（第192回) 日時: 2022年6月8日 (木) 16:30～17:30 場所: 研究・管理棟(A棟)2階 会議場及びzoom開催 講師: 青木 和光 氏（NAOJ） 題目: TMTのサイエンスと計画の進捗 要旨: The Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) is an optical/infrared extremely large telescope with a 30m primary mirror to open a new era of astronomy with enormous resolving power and sensitivity. The project expects synergy with space sciences and Solar System missions. The science goals and the status of the project are presented. 講演言語: 英語 --------------------------------------------------------------- ((English)) We are going to have a space science colloquium on the science cases and project status of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) project, to be held from 16:30 to 17:30 on June 8th. The presenter of the seminar is Dr. Wako, Aoki (the TMT project, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan). TMT is a next generation optical-infrared telescope project which is under construction through international collaboration. Japan is responsible for production of the telescope main structure and of the mirror segments for the primary mirror. Thanks to its extremely large telescope aperture of 30 meters, the light-gathering power of TMT is expected to be by more than one order of magnitude higher than that of previous telescopes, like the Subaru telescope. TMT is possible to cover a wide range of the science topics, including a search for the furthest galaxies and the first stars in the early Universe, efficient spectroscopic observation of many galaxies and stars, and direct imaging and spectroscopy of extoplanets, and so forth. Science impacts will be enhanced by a significant synergy between TMT and the ISAS future missions. This colloquium will be held in a hybrid manner, i.e., a combination of an in-person style (at Conference Hall 2nd floor/ Research and Administration Building A) under a careful infection control and via zoom.
