<<<<<<<<<<<<<< CRC News 2021年 9月 18日 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> CRC会員 各位            CRC事務局  ***********<IUPAP若手科学者賞の募集案内>*********** 皆様  国際純粋応用物理学連合IUPAPの宇宙物理学分野(C19)の 若手科学者賞の募集案内をお送りいたします。  IUPAPは世界60地域が加盟する物理学分野唯一の世界規模の 連合体(AAPPSは17地域18学会が加盟)で、各分野毎に comissionが設けられています。このうちC19がAstrophysicsの comissionとして以下の目的 To promote the activities of interested physicists who are working in the area (gravitation, plasma physics, nuclear physics, high energy physics, atomic and molecular physics and condensed matter) with the object of synthetising their contributions into a better understanding of astrophysical phenomena and the nature of the cosmos. のもとで活動をしています。今回の募集はこの枠内での若手科学者賞です。 (ちなみに、宇宙線分野のcomissionは別に存在し、現在はC4 Astroparticle Physics という名称になっています。)  締切は10月30日で、受賞者は12月にプラハで開催されるテキサスシンポジウム 31st Texas Symposium on Relativistic Astrophysics (texas2021.org) で授賞式と講演をすることになっています。この会議はオンラインとのハイブリッドで 行われるので、オンラインでの参加で大丈夫だと思います。  対象は学位取得後7、8年未満(2年分を一括して募集するため)の若手で 他薦のみ受け付けられます。詳細は下記をご覧下さい。  なお、IUPAPの日本での母体は日本学術会議なので、受賞者・推薦者共に物理学会の 会員である必要はありません。  どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。  IUPAP C19委員 横山順一 International Union of Pure and Applied Physics: IUPAP Call for nominations for two IUPAP Young Scientist Medals in the field of Astrophysics The IUPAP Young Scientist Medals for 2020 and 2021, each with a Cash Prize of €1,000 and a certificate, will be awarded to two scientists working in the field of astrophysics. The winners will be invited to give a presentation of scientific achievements at the 31st Texas Symposium on Relativistic Astrophysics (TEXAS- 2021, which will be held on 13-17 December 2021 in Prague, Czech Republic https://texas2021.org ). The nominated candidate must not have completed more than eight years of research after their doctorate by December 2020 and 2021, respectively. Interruptions for parental leave, military service, family responsibilities, etc., (but not teaching) are allowed. One Medal cannot be shared between several candidates. Nominations may be made by anyone with an interest in the field. Self-nominations are not permitted, but potential candidate are encouraged to ask a mentor or colleague to provide a nomination. The nomination papers must include: – A citation of approximately 50 words. – Curriculum vitae of the candidate, which must not exceed two pages in length. – List of up to 6 of the candidate’s most significant publications, including citation information, not to exceed one page. – Commentary on the publications, which makes the case for the award, not to exceed two pages. – Two letters of support (up to a maximum of three pages), at least one of which must come from someone not at the nominee's institution and not a mentor or significant collaborator. The documents must be collated into a single pdf file called Surname_ysm.pdf, where Surname is the candidate’s name. The file must not exceed 2MB in size. Nominations not conforming to these rules cannot be accepted. The Medal winners will be selected by a committee composed of the members of the IUPAP Astrophysics Committee (C19).
