Position: Project Assistant Professor, 1 person. 2. Job description: The successful applicant shall play a leading role in the detector characterization and the data analysis and so on of the KAGRA laser interferometer. In addition, he or she will contribute to the safety management in the KAGRA tunnel. 3. Place of work: KAGRA Observatory (Hida-city, Gifu-prefecture, Japan) 4. Application Prerequisites: Applicants should have or be about to obtain a Ph.D. by the time of employment. 5. Start of the term: As soon as possible after an offer is made. 6. Term: The employment contract may be renewed yearly but the total period of employment will not exceed five years. 7. Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience as outlined for the position of project assistant professor by the University Tokyo’s Guidelines for Fixed-Term Faculty Employment (April 1st 2004 rev.). 8.
