<<<<<<<<<<<<<< CRC News 2019年 4月 16日 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> CRC会員 各位 　　　 　　　　　　　　　　　CRC事務局　 ******************＜国際会議 NSS-MIC 2019 / Physics Data Library の開催、ならびに参加登録のお知らせ＞****************** 皆様、 毎年約2000人規模の参加者がある IEEE NSS-MIC （IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical Imaging Conference) が今年の 10月 28日から　11月 1日かけてイギリス・マンチェスターで開かれます。 会議名には "Nuclear Science Symposium" とありますが、特にこのシンポジウムの コンピューティングならびにソフトウェア領域では、原子核実験に 限らず素粒子・宇宙線実験、天文など同様のコンピューティング技術、 ソフトウェアなどを使用する様々な分野の発表ならびに情報交換を目的とし、 素粒子実験分野からもより多くの講演を行っていただきたい、と考えております。 アブストラクトの締め切りは 5月 8日（水）とあまり時間がありませんが 是非、参加をご検討ください。　日本人研究者の多くの参加を期待しております。 原　隆宣 高エネルギー加速器研究機構 素粒子原子核研究所 ----------------------------------------------------------- Dear Colleagues, The IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium 2019 (https://nssmic.ieee.org/2019/) - the largest conference on technology for particle/nuclear/astro/medical physics and related fields - will host two venues of interest to the software-oriented physics community: 1) the NSS Computing and Simulation track, which spans a wide spectrum of topics, from core computing R&D to experimental applications, has traditionally been a popular venue to present developments, achievements and applications, fostering a valuable exchange across the various scientific components of NSS multi-disciplinary environment; 2) a Workshop on Open Physics Data Libraries (https://nssmic.ieee.org/2019/workshops/) will explore experimental and theoretical compilations of physics data (cross sections, nuclear and atomic parameters.), which are at the basis of the simulation codes used in our experimental research environment: it is an opportunity to share experience and promote discussions concerning their development, validation and experimental use, including new requirements. Contributions are welcome to both venues. The abstract submission deadline is on 8 May 2019 (https://nssmic.ieee.org/2019/abstract-submission/); a short and an extended abstract (Summary) are required. IEEE NSS-MIC 2019 will be held in Manchester, UK. The Workshop on Open Physics Data Libraries is scheduled on 27 October, the NSS will run from 28 October to 1 November.
