On this occasion, we will discuss future science with the CTA-North and future plan for developing the CTA-South. These CTA Observatories will play important parts in multi-messenger astronomy with a global network of gravitational wave detectors, the high-energy neutrino observatory, and other wavelength observations. In this workshop the extreme Universe will be viewed from observational and theoretical aspects. Topics covered by this workshop are: - Dark Matter - Multi-messenger Astronomy: Gravitational Waves, Neutrino, X-ray, Optical/NIR, Radio - Transients: Gamma-Ray Bursts, Fast Radio Bursts, Galactic Transients - Galactic and Extragalactic Objects - Future Plans for Gamma-ray Astronomy This workshop is supported by the joint research program of the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research (ICRR), the University of Tokyo and JSPS KAKENHI Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (S), Number 17H06131 "Study of the Extreme Universe with the CTA Large Size Telescopes". ---------------- Organizing Committee: ---------------- Kunihito Ioka (YITP), Hidetoshi Kubo (Kyoto Univ.), Takayuki Saito (ICRR),Hiroyasu Tajima (ISEE, Nagoya Univ.), Masahiro Teshima (ICRR& MPI),Tomonori Totani (The Univ. of Tokyo), Koji Noda (ICRR),Tokonatsu Yamamoto (Konan Univ.), Takanori Yoshikoshi (ICRR),Tatsuo Yoshida (Ibaraki Univ.) ---------------- Program: ---------------- Session 1 : Dark Matter 9:00 - 9:20 (15+5) "Axion-Like Particles and dark matter in terms of CTA" Kazunori Kohri (KEK) 9:20 - 9:40 (15+5) "Hunting dark matter in TeV region by VHE gamma-ray" Tomohiro Inada (ICRR) 9:40 - 10:10 (25+5) "CTA as a gamma-ray probe for dark matter structures: Searching for the smallest clumps and the largest clusters" Moritz Hütten (MPI) Session 2 : Multi-messenger Astronomy I : Gravitational Waves 10:10 - 10:30 (15+5) "KAGRA toward joining O3" Masatake Ohashi (ICRR) Session 3 : Gamma-ray Astrophysics 10:30 - 11:00 (25+5) "Highlights from the MAGIC telescopes" Ievgen Vovk (MPI) 11:00 - 11:30 (30) Coffee Break Session 4 : Multi-messenger Astronomy II : Transients 11:30 - 11:55 (20+5) "An Off-Axis Jet in Electromagnetic Counterparts to GW170817?"
