<<<<<<<<<<<<<< CRC News 2018年4月11日 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> ＣＲＣ会員 各位 　　　　　　　　　　　ＣＲＣ事務局 **********<訃報 :Professor Oscar Saavedra ご逝去>********** Professor Oscar Saavedra が、亡くなられたとの連絡がありました。 彼は、ボリビア生まれですが、イタリアのトリノ大学で宇宙線の実験的研究を続けてこられました。研究は、空気シャワー、宇宙線相互作用、ニュートリノ、重力波など、広範囲にわたっていました。ニュートリノの実験（Gran Sassoの地下における）では、1987Aの超新星爆発の際に、ニュートリノの信号と共に重力波の信号も検出したとの結果を発表しましたが、神岡実験の結果との時間的なずれがあり、（残念ながら）認められませんでした。宇宙線相互作用の分野では、ISVHECRI（International Symposium on Very High Energy Cosmic Ray Interaction、今年５月に第２０回を名古屋大で開催予定）を始めたEmulsion Chamber Committee の当初からのメンバーでした。 ご冥福をお祈りします。 大澤昭則 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear colleagues, with profound sorrow I have learned that our friend Oscar Saavedra has passed away. He has been working in cosmic ray physics for all his life and he has been a friend of the Auger Observatory. Besides his involvement in many different cosmic rays experiments, he was the founder and the soul of the School on Cosmic Rays and Astrophysics, which aimed at giving South-American students the possibility to attend an international school and increase their interest and future opportunities in our field. For many of us, he was not only a colleague, but also a good friend, with whom we could talk about ancient books, traditional music and good wine. Best regards, Antonella
