Most of you know Ray, he was the first recipient of the Shakti P. Duggal award at the La Jolla ICRC in 1985, made many notable contributions to cosmic ray theory including (amongst many others) contributions to propagation and cascading in interstellar and intergalactic environments, and shock acceleration, and he also served on C4.
