The Research Support Office is a newly established office within ICRR, following approval of proposal for the Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Institutes of the University of Tokyo. The objective of this office is to optimize research capabilities of ICRR by providing support to research activity at the institute, including undertaking of research management and reporting activities that take a substantial amount of researcher’s time away from ongoing research.
The Director and Vice-Director of ICRR concurrently serve as the chief and deputy chief of this office, respectively. A full-time Research Administrator will be appointed to undertake specific planning activities of this office. Furthermore, an administrative staff member and a public relations specialist are concurrently engaged in this office to promote activities of this office from various perspectives. With the arrival of a new University Research Administrator in March, the Research Support Office will start working towards full-scale activities. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in the activities of this office, as we hope to support your research activities from a broad spectrum in order to best enhance research capabilities of ICRR.
