The research field may be in any of the following: elementary particle physics; hadron physics; astrophysics; general relativity; condensed matter physics; biophysics. The program is entitled as “The Origin of the Universe and Matter: Physical Elucidation of the Cosmic History”, and presently include the following subjects; - B decay experiment at KEKB/Belle - Tau neutrino oscillation experiment - R&D of polarized electron beam for future colliders - Theoretical particle physics - Theoretical hadron physics - General relativity - Sub-mm radio observation - Far-infrared observation - Near-infrared observation - X-ray observation - Observation of compact astrophysical objects - Theoretical astrophysics - Low temperature physics - Superconductivity and magnetism of strongly coupled electronic system (experiment) - Superconductivity and magnetism of strongly coupled electronic system (theory) - Structural biophysics - Photo-biophysics - Theoretical biophysics We consider also other subjects, from which we can expect significant contributions to our research program. There will be 5 to 10 positions available from April, 2004. Initial appointments are for one year, renewal annually, extendible up to March, 2007. Applicants must have (or expect soon) a Ph.D or D.C.. The monthly salary (after tax subtracted) will be approximately 350,000 JYen, depending on age and experience. A successful candidate can apply for research money, reserved for young physicists under the program.
