There are numerous conferences and workshops devoted to this subject. It has now become well mature to be exposed to the young generation of researchers and student in a school devoted to Space Program in Physics. We have organized an advanced introduction to this topic within the ISSS at L'Aquila, Sept.12-16, 2005. Aim of the school is to introduce the student to the subject, guiding then with broad tutorials, lessons, and seminars in the different branches of Physics and Astrophysics relevant to the comprehension of the GRB phenomenon. Ample time will be devoted to the prospects of GRB in Cosmology. Students will be also introduced to experiments and methods used in the field. Students and young researchers already active in the field can submit a title and abstract for short presentations. This school is particularly timely, with the expected exciting results from the SWIFT. The school will also include a session devoted to data analysis of all instruments of SWIFT. It will be also the occasion for reviewing the advancement of our knowledge on GRBs from BeppoSAX, HETE-2 and X-ray/gamma-ray observatories, optical, infrared and radio observations and to discuss open issues and the expectations from incoming missions and experiments. Place and logistics L'Aquila, the capital town of Abruzzo, 100 km East from Rome, is surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Gran Sasso d'Italia. It was founded by the inhabitants of 99 castles, all situated on the mountains around it, in 1254 by order of the Emperor Federico II of Swabia. Many are the town's main monuments: the Fountain of the 99 Spouts (13th century), a symbol of the town, as it is related to the legend of its foundation; the 16th century Castle that contains the National Museum of Abruzzo, the Basilica of Santa Maria di Collemaggio (13th century), a splendid piece of work of the Romanesque-Gothic architecture, the Basilica of S. Bernardino with its Reinaissance style facade. The school will take place in the "Campus Guglielmo Reiss Romoli", a modern facility located in a nice park in the neighbours of L'Aquila.
