We require the applicant to pioneer his/her own curiosity-driven interdisciplinary research field. Qualifications: Self-disciplined scientists with a long-term vision of the next generation of scientific endeavor, and with the ability and research record to preside over their own autonomous laboratories will be considered as candidates for this position. Those with less than 10 years since receiving their PhDs. Also open to applicants who are few years over the qualification if they have significant research achievements. Type of employment: Fulltime, tenured position, subject to RIKEN's mandatory retirement age of 60.
