Location: The Conference will be held in Akademgorodok, about 25 kilometers from the center of Novosibirsk city and 40 kilometers from the International Novosibirsk airport Tolmachevo. Arriving: The common way to reach Novosibirsk is via Moscow. There are at least five daily flights: from Moscow Sheremetyevo airport (terminal D) and from Domodedovo airport to Novosibirsk airport Tolmachevo. Please note that the distance between Moscow airports Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo is about 100 kilometers. Transportation between these airports is not convenient. We recommend you to plan your flights in such a way that there is no need to change airports in Moscow. Novosibirsk can be also reached by plane via St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Frankfurt, Beijing, Tashkent. Please consult your travel agency for details. All the participants will be met at Tolmachevo airport, and the transportation to the hotel will be provided. We therefore ask all the participants to submit the flight information to the Organizing Commitee in advance. Accommodations: The participants will be offered single rooms with private bathrooms and showers, for 20-25 euros per day, in the on-campus dormitory-style housing. Another option is the hotel "Zolotaya Dolina" (http://www.gold-valley.ru/?lang=en): single rooms are between 50-100 euros per day; double rooms start at around 150 euros per room per day. (1 euro ~ 40 rubles). If you prefer this option you should make a reservation yourself in advance. For reservations, please contact the hotel directly (booking [at] sbras.nsc.ru). Both on-campus housing and the hotel are located close to the Conference Hall (15-20 min on foot). There are restaurants, cafeterias and supermarkets nearby the accommodation places. Charges, meals, bank service, electric sockets: Please note that all service (including hotel, meals, etc.) in Russia can be paid in Russian rubles only. 24-hours cash terminals operating with the VISA, EUROCARD/MasterCard and Cirrus-Maestro cards allow cash withdrawals in Russian rubles according to the Bank of Russia exchange rate. There is also cash currency exchange in banks of Akademgorodok. Some Novosibirsk banks also have the Western Union service. Everywhere in Russia 220 Volt and 50 Hz AC current supplies are used. Most of the sockets are standard European-size for double round-pin plugs, the same as in Germany. Appliances from the US and Japan will need adaptors (it is better to buy them in your own country, as it is very hard to find them in Russia). Weather: Novosibirsk has a continental climate, so its fleeting summers are warm or even hot, and may be humid. In July, the average daily lows stay around +15C (the upper 50s F) and highs around +25C (the upper 70s F). Occasionally, temperatures can go as high as +30C to +35C (86 to 95 F). While many days are sunny, summer months also get doses of heavy rains ? which tend, however, to be fairly brief. Registration: All interested in attending the Conference are welcome to register at the website http://astro.nsu.ru/conf2013 Registration fees: Registration fee of 200 Euro should be paid in cash upon arrival (at registration). It covers coffee breaks, welcome buffet lunch, closing dinner, transportation from/to Novosibirsk airport, and social program. Visa information: We will prepare an official invitation (certificate) for your visa application which will be issued by the Local Authority Department of Foreign Affairs. Its preparation takes about four weeks, then it will be sent to you by express mail. With this invitation you should apply for a visa to Russian Embassy/Consulate where consideration can last about one week.
