Region: Asia Field: Physics in general Deadline: Nov. 15, 2010 URL: http://www.nagoya-u.ac.jp/en/global-info/employment/20100929.html The Global 30 International Programs of Nagoya University (a) Fundamental and Applied Physics Program seeks to fill a full-time, non-tenure-track, (b) Associate or Full Professor position. The successful candidate will teach about 6 courses per year (about 6 "komas" per year*). As a full-time faculty, s/he will be expected to hold office hours, provide academic advising for students and perform the normal duties associated with teaching. (*In Japan one course or "koma" is equivalent to one 90 minute lecture per week for 15 weeks). The initial contract will be starting on March 1, 2011, and terminating on December 31, 2013. On October 1, 2011, the first international course students will be entering, and the teaching will be starting then. Contingent upon job performance and funding of Global 30 international programs, the contract may be renewable for an additional three-year term.
